Saturday Morning Jazz- Enjoy your day

I'm getting excited! Why? you may ask. Well, I heard from a few friends last month telling me about a jazz festival they went to in Florida. They said it was a phenomenally good time. Seeing live performances and others enjoying and appreciating the great jazz.

Live jazz is back. I'm looking forward to being in the mix of it.

I like to give an acknowledgment to Jazz it Up! friends who are helping bring jazz back. We have Christian McBride, who is the Artistic Director of the Newport Jazz Festival (July 30-August 1), and Kevin Alexander, executive producer of the Lake Arbor Jazz Festival (5-week series starting in July). Check out the links to each of these festivals.

Jazz it Up! will do its best to be there. Don't forget to look for us and say hello.

Ok. Like all of the Jazz inBetween newsletters, I've incorporated Spotlight performances from seasons 1 and 2. This edition features a mallet master and drummer extraordinaire. Check out, Dave Samuels and Chico Hamilton. Enjoy!
